Joe Weinman is a leading global authority on cloud economics and valuing IT, and is the author of Cloudonomics: The Business Value of Cloud Computing (Wiley, 2012) available in English and Chinese editions, and Digital Disciplines (Wiley CIO, forthcoming, Spring 2015). A former executive with AT&T, Bell Labs, HP and Telx, his career spans strategy, R&D, product management, consulting, sales, and operations. He has a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University, an MS in CS from UW-Madison, and has completed executive education at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne. He has lectured at leading universities around the world, has frequently appeared in the press and web and broadcast television globally, and has been awarded 20 U.S. and international patents.
