Recent survey findings show nearly half of enterprise decision-makers expect to run the majority of their applications over the Internet in the next year. They're turning to the Internet to capitalize on the trends of consumerization of IT and globalization of the enterprise, and, as a result, budgets are shifting toward cloud-based application delivery.
Transitioning an enterprise's application portfolio to be delivered over the Internet can be overwhelming, but if properly managed, it can drastically improve user experiences, security, and the global availability of certain data and applications.
As you consider how cloud-based application delivery can complement your current on-premises IT environment, it's important to ask your application delivery vendors the right questions. Here are several key considerations to have in mind.

Christmas 2013 was marked by record access to the websites of major retailers online from users around the world. The lion's share has made mobile, with a purchase made on eight devices such as smartphones and tablets. With an increase of 68% over the previous year, Europe was the region that recorded the highest rate of increase for shopping via mobile even higher than the USA and Asian markets.
Obviously, a growing market like the European one side attracts investment from other regions and other favors the expansion of overseas business premises. The result? More competition and a strong push to globalization provide customers with more choice and greater purchasing power, but also a decline in brand loyalty, now at historic lows: 60% of online shoppers declares in fact not have any problem to change brand.
In this scenario, online sales are also optimistic ahead for next Christmas, but retailers need to implement the right strategies to be able to face daily fierce competition to attract consumers that are increasingly less faithful.
