Online video is being consumed at remarkable rates and there appears to be no end to the rising demand. In fact, by most accounts, we have only just begun to scratch the surface of how much video consumers want to watch across an increasingly vast ecosystem of connected devices. While this trend presents significant business opportunities, it also raises challenges for ISPs, CDNs and content providers. This keynote presentation by BBC’s  VP of Engineering Neil Drennan will review the evolution in technology that is supporting the growth of video consumption and delivery and will address the crucial questions: Is it enough, and what more can we do as technologists and content providers to improve the user experience?
