Internet Disruption: Democratic Republic of the Congo

According to published reports, authorities have shut down the Internet in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo after bloody clashes between opponents of President Joseph Kabila and police.  The impact of this disruption in Internet service can be seen in the sharp decline in Akamai traffic to users in the country.
