In addition to performance concerns, retailers must contend with malicious activity during the holiday season. Akamai found attack traffic to be 2.5x higher during one of the key online shopping events in 2014.


Retailers need to prepare to scale for peak traffic, deliver high-quality experiences across a diverse range of devices and networks, and defend against attackers without compromising performance.
