Sanjay Singh

Senior Vice President & General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan




Sanjay Singh is Senior Vice President & General Manager, APJ for Akamai Technologies. He is responsible for driving sales and business development, and leading Akamai’s rapidly-expanding regional teams that cover Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

Mr. Singh has been with Akamai for 13 years having established and led different departments from finance and sales to services and support. While the titles have varied, his career at Akamai has clearly been focused on customer acquisition, retention and ensuring customer satisfaction.

At Akamai, Mr. Singh has previously held the role of Vice President of Global Services & Support, where his responsibilities included leading Akamai's global professional services, solutions engineering, account management, business services, customer integration, technical consulting and customer care teams. He is also currently the Managing Director of Akamai's India Operations, which he set up in 2005.

Mr. Singh graduated from St. Xavier's College in Kolkata, India, and also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Purdue University, USA.

Before joining Akamai, Mr. Singh worked at Cambridge Technology Partners in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and REM Indiana, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of mentally challenged and physically impaired adults.

Jason Hatch

Sr. Director Product Management,

Asia Pacific & Japan


Jason Hatch is Senior Director of Web Experience Product Management for Akamai’s Asia-Pacific and Japan region. In this role, he is responsible for Akamai’s Web Experience products in the region, driving product strategy and functionality to match local market requirements and championing regional needs.


Jason joined Akamai in 2015. He is a proven technology evangelist and product management leader, with global experience.


Prior to Akamai, Jason worked at IBM as the Social Business and Collaboration Solutions Technical Executive for Asia Pacific. He led the technical team that was responsible for IBM's social business, messaging, collaboration and unified communications products.  Before coming to Singapore, Jason was UK CTO of IBM Collaboration Solutions and has held various technical leadership roles within the company in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and India.  Prior to IBM he was the global CTO of Aptrix, one of the leading Web Content Management companies, which was acquired by IBM in 2003.

Amol Mathur

Director Product Management, Security, Asia Pacific & Japan


Amol Mathur is the Director of Product Management for Security BU, responsible for driving product strategy, roadmap, product positioning, innovation and strategic initiatives in Asia Pacific and Japan.


Prior to Akamai, Amol worked at IBM Security as Senior Manager for Security Services covering Asia Pacific. Amol also spent 10 years at Intel Security (formerly McAfee) and Foundstone (acquired by McAfee) in various Leadership and Technical roles in North America and Asia Pacific.


Amol holds a Master of Science degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from University of Madras.

David Habben

Chief Strategist, Media,

Asia Pacific & Japan


David Habben is the Chief Strategist, Media, Asia Pacific & Japan for Akamai Technologies.


David has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications, Internet and media industries along with significant history as a ‘startup specialist’. David founded Akamai’s media practice in Singapore in 2008 and quickly established Akamai as the dominant company in the space.


David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) and a Masters of Commerce (Marketing) and is on the advisory boards of numerous online companies.

David has lived and worked in the USA, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, New Zealand, India and Thailand and is currently based in Sydney, Australia.

Gobi Tarmat

Principal Enterprise Architect


Gobi Tarmat helps customer design and deliver fast, reliable and secure web and digital media experience across Asia Pacific & Japan. His expertise and experience are extensive, working on some of the largest customers and events in the Industry. Gobi is known for a personable approach to customers and considered as the go to person for co-workers.

Matt Voerman

Sr. Technical Account Manager


Based out of Sydney, Australia – Matt is a 20 year veteran of the digital media industry. During this time he's held a number of senior technical and customer facing roles, including: application developer, solutions architect, digital media consultant, team lead, and technical account manager.


An excellent communicator, and recognised public speaker, Matt has presented at local, and international, industry events, and is just as at home interacting with C-Suite executives, as he is with technical teams.

Matt enjoys meeting and networking with customers who he would typically not interact with during the course of his day-to-day job and always finds it an enjoyable experience. In addition to this, he is keen to share, and discuss, the various features/capabilities of the Akamai Luna Portal.

Deepak Kochar

Security Solutions Architect

Deepak is a Security Solution Architect with 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Security and networking. Deepak holds a Post graduate degree in computers application with silver medal. His area of expertise includes devising attack mitigation strategies, Integrating and tuning WAF Solution.

Dominic Lovell

Enterprise Architect, Advanced Solution Services


Dominic joined Akamai in 2015 and comes from a strong technical background. Prior to working for Akamai he was the eCommerce Solutions Architect for SurfStitch.com, where he was a part of a team that took the company from small start-up to an IPO listing. He has a deep knowledge of the online retail arena and the technical strategies behind online commerce. Over his career, he has lived and worked in Australia, the US and Europe. As a part of the Akamai team, he has worked with a number of retail and banking customers to leverage their Akamai integrations, with a particular focus on web performance, and helps them implement best practices and strategies that go beyond standard deployments. Dominic holds a honours degree in BSc in IT, from the University of Technology Sydney. ”

James has been in the IT security space for more than 14 years, his previous roles have been an IT manager for a global financial services company and as a security consultant for some online wagering companies.

For the past 10 years, James has been a pre-sales engineer for a number of US vendors specialising in Network Firewalls, Content Filtering, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Application Firewalls and Distributed Denial of Service mitigation and Wan Acceleration. James engages CSOs, CIOs and IT managers of service providers and large corporations in Sydney, Asia Pacific and United States.


More recently, James is the Enterprise Security Architect for Akamai Technologies for APJ helping to ensure that its customers' online presence is fast, available and secure.  Akamai’s customer base includes the 6 largest banks in Australia, majority of the Australian television, news and streaming platforms, majority of the global social networking platforms and 97 of the top 100 e-Commerce platforms worldwide.

Phillip has experience of working with some of the largest broadcasters in the region. His key expertise is working with traditional broadcast and post production. In the last few years he is working in the OTT streaming space. With this combined experience, Phillip helps to bring traditional broadcast workflows into the internet delivery era.
