The Akamai Customer Experience team gathers Akamai Customers' insight through multiple listening efforts - loyalty and transactional surveys, customer interviews, Edge conference, Akamai Leadership team and sales team interviews, etc.


We work across the business to share your feedback and influence roadmaps and improvement initiatives. Some of the actions generated and/or accelerated are listed below:


Be Easier to do Business with

  • Certificate Provisioning System(CPS): The CPS interface is being completely overhauled to make it easier and more seamless for you to complete the certificate provisioning process and stay informed along the way. A CPS Beta program will be available for access in Q1 2017.
  • Self-service Trials: More seamless self-service trials are available now through the Akamai Marketplace
  • Simplified Contract Process: Expect to see the following key improvements in the contract process,
    • Simpler Signatures
      • DocuSign is now available in over 50 countries enabling fast electronic signatures
      • Customer Signatures are no longer needed when adding no charge products to existing agreements
    • Simpler Pricing
      • More flexible pricing to support a variety of usage levels from small organizations to global enterprises
    • Simpler Ordering
      • Simpler DDoS emergency ordering and integrations to more rapidly deploy DDoS protection services for customers under attack
      • Simpler quote and order generation tools for faster turnaround time during contracting process


Make Akamai Products more self-serviceable

  • Onboard and Configuration Assistant (OCA): A simplified and automated tool for onboarding to Akamai and managing your configurations. OCA allows you to move your website or application onto Akamai quickly, and without the need of technical experts. Once onboard, Akamai will email you recommendations for optimizing your configuration based on real traffic analysis. Available January 2017.
  • Image Manager: Image Manager automatically optimizes each online image for the best combination of size, quality, and file format suited for each image and device and offloads the artistic transformation of derivative assets to the cloud.

  • Increase transparency around our strategy and vision to make sure we continue to be aligned with your business needs.
  • Improve engagement and visibility of our product roadmaps, and provide regular updates on improvements/actions fueled by you.
