Onboard & Configuration Assistant (OCA)

This section includes frequently asked questions (FAQs) about OCA.

Is there a way to migrate my OCA property to Property Manager?

Yes. When you on board your site with OCA, and go live on Akamai’s network, you have the option to convert your OCA property to a Property Manager property. Keep in mind this conversion cannot be reversed. After your property is converted to Property Manger, your configuration settings cannot be modified in OCA. They must be managed via Property Manager and you will no longer receive recommendation emails for configuration improvements.

Is there a way to migrate my Property Manager property to OCA?

No. A Property Manager property cannot be converted to OCA.

Is there an option to procure SSL certificates in OCA?

Yes. OCA lets you provision certificates for secure sites (HTTPs).

What types of certificates are supported in OCA?

OCA lets you request Domain Validated (DV) and Organization Validated (OV) certificates directly from within the application. You can use Extended Validation (EV) or third-party certificates with OCA, but you'll need to first request them through the separate CPS application in the Luna Control Center first.

Is it possible to pin certificates to avoid FOSSL related issues?

No. OCA only supports origins that use origin certificates, and whose Certificate Authority (CA) is in the Akamai Certificate Store.

OCA will tell you if your origin certificate is in the Akamai Certificate Store.
