The new Annotation feature marks an important point in time or an important time range. Annotations are system generated and are displayed on any time-based charts, as well as the Baseline Comparison Dashboard.

System generated annotations includes the following:

  • SteadyState: Ranged annotation indicating a period of running at a fixed number of users. These annotations are created when all of the CloudTest servers in a Composition have reached their full virtual user state, either from a planned ramp or from a dynamic ramp. They are ranged annotations that denote the time from reaching the full ramp until another ramp occurs or the test ends.
  • RampChange: Ranged annotation indicating a period of changing virtual users (VU) count. These annotations are created when any of the CloudTest servers have increased or decreased the number of virtual users running a composition, either from a planned ramp or from a dynamic ramp. They are ranged annotations that denote the time from starting the change in virtual users until the virtual user change is completed, or the test ends.

All have an index (1-x) that increments during the test.
