We are NOT amused!

In a recent blogpost I wrote about changes that the Canadian government was making in light of recent terrorist attacks to give more power to the security and intelligence community.

Unsurprisingly the UK has recently followed suit and is bringing back proposed legislation to do the same thing  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-32896921. The difference now is that following the 2015 General Election, Prime Minister Cameron has a majority government and it is now much easier for laws to be passed.

  • What other legislation will be brought in under the auspices of giving authorities what they need to "keep you and your family safe"?
  • How will such sensitive information be kept secure in a time of unprecedented security breaches?
  • How do you ensure information is not misused/abused?

Big questions and no easy answers but maybe I shall consider it over a cup of tea and an English scone.
