We need to have the information of the client source port, similar to the source ip information, which is delivered by the true-client-ip header, but in this case it would be the true-client-port.
How can we implement that?
Hi Wilson Soares,
if you are referring to the source TCP port (from where the client has initiated his request to Akamai), then I am afraid we are not yet offering anything via self-service tools yet.
However, it seems there are internal variables that carry the true client TCP port number. This means - though it would have to be tested and confirmed first - that by means of Akamai Professional Services you could get something implemented to make you another header available with this port number.
Please get in touch with your Professional Services team or Client Services Manager and refer to my reply here. They may also get in touch with me if they have questions.
Last update on this topic: A colleague of mine has already tested this and confirmed that this works.
Thank you Gunther.
I will check with PS.
Would be great if you share the details on how to get the true client TCP Port Number along with True Client IP. This is one of my organization or rather a legal requirement in case of any dispute at EDGE vs client connectivity.
Hello Jai Prakash Sharma,
as stated above this feature is available, but not through self-service (aka. Property Manager behavior).
Hence, please turn to your Akamai account team or directly to the Professional Services consultant that you usually work with and ask for the change. They have the details (or can ask me) and will handle everything for you.
Does that help to make the next move?
