Could you please provide documentation link to the process for viewing the actual file names of a web page which is optimized thru FEO. Thanks for your help.
The best way to identify the original filenames corresponding to the optimized file is to look at the page source of the html. We add attributes like "data-feo-orig-src", "data-feo-orig-href" to the html tags which contain the original name.
Hello Raghavan Yanamandram,
sounds like you are looking for a report to obtain insights in FEO operations that took place, correct?
I am not aware of such a report, but am far from a FEO expert. So need to pull in someone who can help and finds someone who can.
Bhagirath: Would you be able to help with that question, or can pull in someone to support Raghavan?
Lisa Alexander Can you please help with this?
Not looking for a insight report. Once the page is optimized by FEO, certain file names (js etc) are renamed to a different name. I would like know the process of viewing the original file name.
Thanks for your help.
There are three types of resource files that are optimized by FEO: image files, CSS files and JS files.
Each one when they are optimized, the original file name is indicated as well in the source code.
Original image file names are indicated by a "data-feo-orig-src" attribute of the "img" tag
Original CSS file names are indicated a couple of ways: 1) by a "data-feo-orig-href" attribute of the "link" tag and also 2)the original file name is also placed in the text of the new file itself at the top indicated by "CSS imported from..."
Original JS file names are indicated a couple of ways: 1) by a "data-feo-orig-src" attribute of the "script" tag and also 2)the original file name is also placed in the text of the new file itself at the top indicated by "Script imported from..."
