Custom metrics are how SOASTA mPulse real user measurement data can make the connection between user performance experience and business outcomes for your site.  We can track when your site visitors achieve business objectives (completing a purchase, adding an item to the cart, signing up for your newsletter) as well as details about these key events (how much was the order total?  How many items were purchased?  Was a coupon code applied?)  By capturing this data directly with all of the performance data in an mPulse beacon, we can make powerful connections and better understand how performance is impacting your business.
