As of mPulse 56, you benefit from the following Waterfall improvements:

  • Waterfall latency has been reduced from 30 minutes to 5.
  • The Waterfall now shows a heat map of network activity above all of the resources.
  • When hovering over a resource, the Waterfall displays a vertical dotted line at the beginning of the resource to help highlight other resources that start or end at the same time.
  • The time axis is fixed to the top of the screen, so when you scroll, you always see the time axis.
  • The Performance tab now shows the Navigation Type, HTTP/2.0, Connection, and Battery Level fields.
  • Some data from the Page Construction Tab has been split into a new tab, called Requests. The Requests tab has a table of HTTP, Image, JavaScript, CSS, and other requests. It provides data for the total number of requests, number of cached requests, number of same domain requests, and number of other domain requests.
  • The Page Construction tab has new fields for Unique Domains, Visibility State, Screen Dimensions, Screen Colordepth, Screen Orientation, Device Pixel Ratio, JS Heap Used, JS Heap Total, Browser Platform, Browser Vendor, and Boomerang Version.
  • The Document Object Model (DOM) scripts and DOM images fields now show the number of external scripts and images (so, not counting inline scripts or data-uri images) in addition to the total.
  • New Raw tab that shows the raw beacon.
  • The Waterfall can be exported to a PNG image.
