There is the need sometimes to add cookies manually. CloudTest automatically handles the cookies that are set by the Set-Cookie header in any http/https response. But there are cases where a cookie can be set by a JavaScript, CSS, flash, etc. When this happens, the cookie needs to be set manually (hard-coded).

To set a cookie manually one needs to go to the HTTP Request Headers and add the cookie there in the following format:

Cookie: cookie=cookieValue;

If more than one cookie is needed, a semicolon is added at the end of each one:

Cookie: cookie1=cookieValue1; cookie2=cookieValue2;

If there are more requests that need the cookie(s), then the same procedure is followed.

In Situ Substitution Expressions (ISSEs) can also be used:

Cookie: cookie1={%% prop : clip : ISSE1 %%}; cookie2={%% prop : clip : ISSE2 %%};
