Seed data can be set per track using a Track custom property. Custom properties are used in conjunction with a URL or an existing Seed Data Object.

Create a Custom Track Property using Seed Data: Repository Object

Use the following steps to utilize seed data already in the CloudTest repository. If the seed data object doesn’t yet exist, create it first using Central > Seed Data.

  1. In the Composition Editor lower panel, select the track.

  1. Click the Custom Properties tab on the right.
  2. In the Custom Properties tab, click the green (+) Plus sign.

  1. Accept the default property name or enter a new property name.
  2. Select Seed Data: Repository from the Value Type drop-down.

    1. Save the composition after making any changes.

Note: Refer to Setting Advanced Seed Data Options (In Tracks, Clips, and Containers) for advanced configuration steps.

Create a Custom Track Property using Seed Data: URL

Use the following steps to utilize seed data from a CSV file located at a URL accessible from the Internet, or from the given CloudTest instance.

  1. In the Composition Editor lower panel, select the track.

  1. Click the Custom Properties tab on the right.
  2. In the Custom Properties tab, click the green (+) Plus sign.

  1. Accept the default property name or enter a new property name.
  2. Select Seed Data: URL from the Value Type drop-down and then specify the URL for the CSV file.

  1. Save the composition after making any changes.

Note: Refer to Setting Advanced Seed Data Options (In Tracks, Clips, and Containers) for advanced configuration steps.
