Structuring Configurations

Blog Post created by Mike Elissen Employee on Aug 24, 2017

In order to structure configurations in an easy way, I recommend using an empty rule (Add Rule > Blank Rule). This way it is easier to structure all your Origin Logic, Performance Optimizations as well as Caching Rules together. If you add on more and more logic like Cloudlets or even Advanced Behaviors, it is a good way to structure your configurations for usability and maintenance.

Depending on which products you have, I recommend categorizing in the following subgroups with the Blank Rule.

Here are some examples of the Performance and Caching Rules subgroups. With the minification, it is easy to manage this in LUNA. If you have configurations going into the 50 versions or higher, you might want to think about using this!
